3 Offences In Short Period

Question:

I DRIVE FOR A LIVING AND WENT THROUGH THE SAME SPEED TRAP 3 DIFFERENT TIMES ON THE SAME MORNING.

THE TIME I WAS ALLEGEDLY CAUGHT ON CAMERA DOESN’T MAKE SENSE AS I RECORD ALL MY WORK AND TIMES AND THE TIME I WAS CLOCKED WAS ACTUALLY THE 3RD TIME I WENT THROUGH THE SPEED TRAP AND I WAS AWARE IT WAS THERE.

I THINK THEY HAVE SOMEHOW GOT THEIR TIMES OR FACTS MIXED UP. ALSO THEY HAVE WORDED THE LOCATION WRONG AS IF I WAS TRAVELING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. WHAT SHOULD BE MY NEXT STEP?

Louise Says:

I am sorry that you have had such bad luck with 3 offences.

If you do not accept that you were speeding at the times alleged then you need to reject the tickets and ask for a court hearing. You still have to name the driver otherwise you risk 6 points for each offence of failing to name the driver which would mean you would get a 6 month totting ban.

In relation to the location you may have an argument that the NIP is defective but you still again need to name the driver – you then reject the fixed penalty offer.

Be careful with these matters as the court convict 79% of people that try to defend road traffic offences. If you want my help please come back to e and I will be happy to assist further.

Have you got any points already?
