We have to fight hard to get really expensive cars out of the police pound when they have been seized because they have been driven without insurance or driven without a licence.

The top tip is to make sure you have the registered keeper with you (or the registration documents if that’s you) and that your insurance definitely covers you to collect a vehicle from a police pound – many policies don’t.
