If a car has current road tax and a mot certificate, can it stand on the public highway uninsured?
regards
I’m afraid not. A car has to have insurance to be kept on a public road. Otherwise the police can accused you of using it without insurance. I know that sounds odd because you won’t have been actually driving it – but the police class it as having use of the car on a public road – even if they don’t see you actually doing it I’m afraid.
