Driving With A Trailer In The Wrong Lane?

Question:

I received a fixed penalty notice (endorsable offence), £60 fine and 3 penalty points, for driving in the offside lane of the M6 whilst towing a trailer.

My question would, candidly be, can I request video evidence of the alleged offence before going to court to appeal? Is video evidence necessary for the officer to prove that I committed an offence in the first place?

Emma Says:

The officer does not need video evidence if he / she can convince the court that you committed the offence in question. The officer will give evidence to that effect in person and you will have the chance to cross examine them. The officer has to prove the case against you beyond reasonable doubt. You have to cast a doubt to win.

Explain more about what happened…Do you deny driving in that lane? I have won a similar case.
