Getting Licence Back Early – Mandatory Retest

Question:

I’m serving a 2 and half year ban for failing 2 stop and dangerous driving. I’m a year and a bit of the way through it and I’ve not been in trouble since. I just want to know is there any way of getting it lifted as I’m a mechanic and need my licence?

If you were convicted of dangerous driving then you will have been ordered to take a mandatory retest as well as serve the ban. I’m afraid you are not allowed to apply for your licence back early where a mandatory retest has been ordered.
