I Was Getting The Cars MOT In 5 Days

Question:

How can I appeal against 3 points which I picked up for having bald tyres? I asked the police officer for a producer because I had my MOT in 5days so I was going get my car sorted out but could not do, due too me not getting paid until the end of the month! But the police officer refused!

Sorry but you have no grounds upon which to appeal this matter.

If you drive a car on a public road with defective tyres you will get three points. The only basis upon which you can avoid the points is if you can show that the tyres were not defective.

It’s not a defence to suggest that you couldn’t afford to fix then straight away or to suggest that they were going to be fixed in five days time for the MOT.
