Insurance Cancelled Without My Knowledge

DRIVING WITHOUT INSURANCE

I WAS STOPPED WITHOUT INSURANCE NOT KNOWING MY POLICY HAS BEEN CANCELLED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. AM A STUDENT AND CAN’T AFFORD LEGAL COST, WHAT ARE IF ANY, MY DEFENCE TO FIGHT THE POINTS AS I’VE HAD MY LICENCE WITHIN 2 YEARS

If your insurance was cancelled because you didn’t pay the direct debits that were due then I’m afraid that you will not be able to avoid the 6-8 points that you will get unless you can persuade the court to give you a short ban instead of the points.

If you get a short ban then you don’t get the points and you will avoid having your licence revoked and having to do a full retest.
