No Insurance + Public Place = Offence?

Question:

keeping a vehicle without insurance

Is this now an offence? Not driving but the vehicle is parked on the public road, no insurance?

Paula Says:

I’m afraid it’s classed as an offence to have the potential use of a vehicle that’s kept on a public road with no insurance. Therefore you are not allowed to keep a vehicle on a public road without insurance. You have to keep it off the public road.

Have you got any penalty points on your driving licence already? If so, how many? You will be at risk of 6-8 penalty points on your licence if you are convicted of this offence – you maybe able to argue special reasons to avoid those points – but you need to tell me more about the circumstances.
