I Was Insured By My Work

Question:

I was taking my friends car into work (I am a mechanic) and instead of going straight to work which I would have been covered by work insurance I parked up for a short time.

I got done for no seat belt but paid the fine it was only a very short distance I had traveled how ever I had not passed my test 2 years at the time but have now I need my licence for work and regret the situation.

What can I do to avoid having to retake my test? I have over come dyslexia and problems that come with it and qualified as a mechanic in under 3 years so my job is important to me as is my licence. Please help

The options would be to ask for a court hearing and try and persuade the court that there are special reasons in order to avoid the points or to try and get you a short ban instead of the points.
