Let Friend Drive Car Without Insurance

Question:

On Monday night of this week my friend asked me to drive my car around a council owned car park. I let him do it and after the police turned up and are doing him for no insurance and no licence.

Am i liable for anything?

They could summons you for permitting him to drive without insurance which carries 6-8 points. Did they suggest they might at the time? Did they take your details.

Tell me more. If you do get a summons you will get your licence revoked if you are a new driver. Never let anyone use your car unless they prove they are insured from now on. You might have been lucky.
