No Licence – Insurance – MOT

Question:

I was randomly stopped for not having an MOT. I confessed that the insurance of the vehicle also expired. I was issued two fines but was asked to produce a driving licence in days. I only have a provisional driving licence. What should I do?

Paula Says:

Tell the police that you only have a provisional licence. They are going to spot it so you might as well bite the bullet. You will probably get a summons for all three offences (no mot, licence, insurance) and you will get 6-8 points and a fine at court.

If you plead guilty at the earliest opportunity they will reduce the fine.
