I was on my motorbike and came into a lower speed limit. a police officer who was in front of me clocked me on a laser gun then looked around when I had gone past him to get my number plate, as he did not get my plate on camera will I get convicted for speeding?
Yes you will be convicted of speeding if the court accept that the officer evidence is reliable as to your registration number and as to the speed alleged.
He does not have to get a picture of your number plate and this is the normal way for officer’s to record speeding offences involving motorbikes.
He simply has to convince the court that his evidence is reliable beyond reasonable doubt and you will be convicted. You should only contest this matter if you do not accept the speed alleged.
What’s the speed alleged?
Have you got any points already?
