My son is 16 and has only been on the road for a month since passing his CBT… he stupidly allowed a friend to ride his moped a short distance and she was stopped by the police.
She was not insured… they both have been summoned to appear in court…he is very sorry and acted without thinking (normal 16 year old) my question is…will he definitely receive 6 points. Or can the magistrate be lenient?
I’m afraid that he will get 6 points for permitting no insurance unless he can convince the court to give him a very short discretionary ban.
If the court agrees then he will not get any points and as soon as the ban is over (perhaps a couple of weeks) that will be the end of the matter.
