They Cannot Prosecute For Under 37 mph

Question:

Speeding

I was caught by camera doing 36 mph in a 30 mph zone. Am I right to contest this case as I have been told that to prosecute I should have been doing 37 mph and I can’t be prosecuted for under 37 mph? Thank you

Louise Says:

I’m afraid that’s not correct. The police can prosecute for any amount over the speed limit if they feel that thy have a reasonable prospect of convicting you. If you cannot cast a doubt on the police evidence you will be convicted.
