Speeding over 70 on motorway
I’ve just had a form come through for speeding on motorway over 70.
I wasn’t pulled and don’t remember any speed cameras.
I already have 3 points for speeding 36 in a 30 3 years ago.
Do you know what speed is being alleged?
If you accept that you were the driver at the time you have to go back and name yourself otherwise you risk 6 points for failing to name the driver. You then have to decide whether or not you are willing to accept that you might have been speeding. Not being able to remember would not be a good foundation for a defence and you do not need to be stopped at the time.
The 3 points that you have on your licence will have dropped off or be close to dropping off if they were three years ago.
