Hi Loiuse, my name is x and I’m writing to you regarding a driving offence I have 3 points on my licence which I got in June and 2 days ago I got caught driving using mobile and the police gave me another 3 point and I have to produce my licence for that within 28 days I haven’t been passed over 2 years and if I get these point I will be revoked and lose my licence and because I’m related to driving job I will lose my job.
I’ve got 3 kids and it will be very hard for me to survive as I’m already in debt. Is there any chance I can pay fine and not get points or some other way? The only proof police has is my bill and if i plead guilty can I still appeal to them not to put points on my licence and can you tell me how much will this cost?
I understand your predicament.
Your only option is to reject the fixed penalty ticket and take the matter to court. At court you would need to try and persuade the magistrates to give you a short ban instead of the points. If you get a ban you don’t get any points. You have to be careful to make sure that the magistrates do not feel manipulated.
