Speed Awareness Course – Arrived Late!

Question:

I was not allowed to do the speed awareness course because I turned up slightly late. I left home in plenty of time but there was a road traffic accident and this caused major delays beyond my control.

I am sorry, that’s really harsh.

The problem is the course is entirely at the police discretion and there is nothing the court or the crown prosecution service can do if the police decide to withdraw the offer and summons you to court or issue a fixed penalty.

I hope they let you go on another course but if they don’t then I’m afraid there will be little that you can do.
