Warning For First Speeding Offence?

I am just asking on behalf of someone. She has been flashed for the first time and hasn’t had her licence for two years. Will she get fine and points, if so how many because 6 means she revoked before 2 years or is it a warning for first speeding offence.

There is no warning system I’m afraid for speeding offences. The number of penalty points depends on the level of speed. If you can tell me the speed alleged and the speed limit for the road in question then I will be happy to help further.

Normally you would get 3 points and a £60 fixed penalty if the speed is not too far above the limit for the road. Sometimes you get the speed awareness course as an alternative to points if the speed was not too much about the speed limit for the road.
