I was stopped yesterday for driving through a red light, the lights were amber when I was driving passed the lights but the van full of police decided to pull me over and give me a ticket.
I feel this was splitting hairs and they were out for a laugh at my expence. Do I stand a chance contesting this case ,the policeman had intimidated me by telling me there were a van full of witnesses. I believe I was in the right and they were wrong. They have only there word against mine. Do i stand a chance in court?
Kind regards
Even if you are right you are still guilty of an offence and you will get convicted at court if you refuse to take the ticket.
It’s an offence to go through on amber as well as on red – not many people know that.
Sorry you are best off taking the ticket.
